I’m ready to share with you the third patten in this series. This one is called Zixts (pronounces like 6’s). This one has the similar number 6 and tear-drop shape shared in the Diamond Drop and the Muzaky patterns. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do.
In the pattern worksheet I show it as if there where two steps to drawing the pattern. But if you watch the video you’ll see that it’s actually drawn in one continuous line.

Let me know what you think folks. Like? Don’t like? Easy? Difficult? I’d love to hear what you think about this pattern. 🙂

I LOVE THIS! I’m fairly new to Zentangle (almost a month) and find it so fascinating and relaxing. Rich and Maria really hit the nail on the head when they named their style/art form. I love swirly, flowing lines and this is my new favorite! Thanks for posting!
Very nice design! I just love your style and your video’s are a great help is learning to draw your designs!! Thank you!
Cindy! Love this! This one will work so well with Diamond Drop and on a larger scale I can envision it as a string! I wish I could color like that.
Oh! And one more thing: may we see a picture of the earring which inspired these lovely tangles….please?
Susannah – I remember that I saw the picture somewhere on Pinterest and hoped I had saved it in one of my albums. Well I had to do a bit of searching, but I did finally locate the inspiration piece tucked waaaay down inside my “liked items” album. And guess what- it wasn’t even an earring. It’s a pendent! LOL Cracked me up when I found it and discovered my error. Link to the picture: http://pinterest.com/pin/202662051952624720/ . But I have to admit that it kept buggin me that I thought all along it was a pair of earrings that I was picturing in my mind as the patterns were emerging. So I kept drilling down further in my “liked items” album and there they were – plain as day: http://pinterest.com/pin/202662051952666288/ So now of course I’m not really sure which of these two pieces of jewelry inspired my patterns the most. See how crazy things can go when I see something with a pretty swirl and then sleep on it?! LOL These swirly six designs just kept “haunting” me until I had to try them on paper. It’s kinda’ like how it feels when only a small part of a song gets stuck in your head. Ya just gotta keep singing the one little line you know until the whole tune finally comes back into your full memory again. Recently I had to look online for the words to the Gillian’s Island theme song ‘cuz it was bugging me that me (nor hubby) could remember the entire song. Pestered us for like 3 days straight! LOL Maybe these little jewelry pieces will inspire even more patterns now! 😉
Cindy, I think your patterns, all three of them are lovely. I enjoy working with the patterns you’ve created. Even more, I enjoy your kind and generous dedication to sharing your work in this way. So, thank you, so very much, for all that you do here.
Thank you all so very much for sharing your thoughts with me. It helps me to know whether I’m on the right track or not with meeting your interests and wants. I’m tickled to hear folks are liking the patterns and this one in particular. I truly enjoy it as well.
